Dynamic Fitness & Strength is pleased to announce Carlo Alvarez as vice president of strategy and innovation. Carlo brings his successful leadership experience of both athletic teams and brands to Dynamic Fitness & Strength’s mission and model.
Carlo comes to Dynamic from University School in Cleveland, Ohio, where he is head strength and conditioning coach. Before that, he was vice president of product development at Motus Global, a sports technology business focused on athletic performance, injury reduction and rehabilitation.
“New products, processes, technology and partnerships will only be part of Carlo’s role,” said Co-Founder and Owner Curt Tambornino. “Carlo will expand our value to coaches through education, resources, events and connections while also implementing program and facility design. Carlo will be integral in guiding Dynamic’s strategic planning as we navigate toward a post-Covid world within our industry.”
Carlo has over 26 years of experience in the strength and conditioning industry at every level of sport—high school, college, professional and private sector. He has coached for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians. Carlo developed and grew the athletic training programs Xavier High School in Cincinnati, including the development of their new training facility.
Carlo has also worked closely on strategic branding and educational initiatives with Nike, Gatorade, Adidas, Under Armour and Hammer Strength, as well as developing a franchise model for Athletic Revolution.
